Ladder is built so your training data stays yours. The app does not collect, transmit or share any personal information.
Information we collect
None. Ladder has no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The app does not connect to any server run by us or by anyone else.
Data stored on your device
To work, Ladder saves the following on your iPhone only:
- The lifts you add: name, working weight, weight increment and current step
- Your workout history: date, sets and reps, weight, outcome and any notes you write
- Your settings: display unit (kg or lb) and rest timer length
- An in-progress workout, so it can be resumed if the app is closed
This data never leaves your device through Ladder. We cannot see it, access it or recover it.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Ladder schedules a local notification on your device to tell you when a rest period is over. These notifications are created entirely on your phone. No push notification service is used, and no identifiers are collected.
Backups
iOS may include Ladder’s data in your device’s iCloud or computer backups, depending on your device settings. Those backups are handled by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We have no access to them.
Crash reports
If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. These do not include your training data and cannot be used to identify you.
Third parties
Ladder does not share data with third parties because it does not collect any.
Deleting your data
You can delete any lift and its history inside the app. Deleting Ladder from your iPhone removes all of its data from the device.
Children
Ladder does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
